Introduction to Descriptive Statistics Online
This workshop will provide students an introduction to statistical analysis mainly focusing on descriptive statistics. For descriptive statistics, the data is initially described and summarised using graphs and statistical quantities (e.g. frequencies, percentages, mean, median, bar charts). This workshop will explore the differences between independent and dependent variables and different data types, and consider which descriptive statistics would be most appropriate for each data type. These steps are essential before carrying out any statistical tests
