Get Started with Excel Online

Excel is software included in your DMU MS365 package for creating spreadsheets. These are documents where you can add data in rows and columns to analyze, calculate, apply formulas and algorithms, create tables of data, and generate diagrams and graphs. For example, learn how to create your very first budget in Excel.

Excel is properly one of the most-used software programs in the business world and an application that will be very helpful in your studies. 

What will be covered:

  • What are cells? Why are rows and columns important in Excel.
  • How to apply basic calculations.
  • How to create a table of data and add to a Word document.
  • How to generate a chart/diagram from a table of data (and add to a Word document)

In session exercises:

  • Create a table and generate a diagram with built-in tools
  • Create a personal budget (apply calculations)
