Using Refworks to improve your research and referencing In-Person

RefWorks is software that will help improve your research workflow and will help you correctly add references to your assignment.

It has features that make it easy for you collect and save references, which you can assign to assignment or topic folders for easy recall. It also links to Word and Google Docs so you can quickly add references to your documents. RefWorks works with a variety of different referencing styles, including DMU Harvard, IEEE and footnote systems. We will show you how to add references into RefWorks and then how to use it to add references and a reference list to your assignment, dissertation, theses or publication.

The workshop is aimed at new users of RefWorks who have not previously set up accounts. If you already have an account with RefWorks and want help using it please contact your subject librarian: http://libguides.library.dmu.ac.uk/librarians

Note: Before attending this workshop please sign up for an account with RefWorks. Instructions on how to do this are here: https://tinyurl.com/refcreate

If you are unable to attend this workshop in person please complete our online tutorial here: https://tinyurl.com/startrefworks
