Make an appointment in 3 steps. Step 1: Select a staff member. Step 2: Select an available date. Step 3: Select an available timeslot.

CLaSS Tutorials

Book a slot for a 30-minute email tutorial or a live online chat-based tutorial by selecting the options below. 

Please submit your questions or a draft of no more than 500 words together with the relevant assignment brief. A CLaSS lecturer will then provide feedback via email within 24 hours of your appointment, or log-on and chat to you during your appointment time. Please note you will be asked to confirm your tutorial/chat is not taking place while you are in exam conditions.

RLF Writing Fellow Tutorials

Improve your academic writing. A free, confidential, and independent service to help you improve your writing skills.

The Royal Literary Fund Writing Fellow is a professional, published author whose role is to help you strengthen your writing. DMU students on any course at any level of study (from 1st year to postgraduate) – and staff – are welcome to book a session.

Sessions are for 50 minutes and take place online.

Please note that RLF Writing Fellows do not undertake proofreading or EAP tuition and will not comment on creative writing.

Please note: To allow as many students as possible to access our service, a maximum of one tutorial per week can be booked with CLaSS. If you book multiple tutorials, your first appointment will be kept. The remaining CLaSS appointments for that week will be cancelled. You will receive an email confirming the cancellation.
